The pink here is soft and unhurried — the kind that reads gentle across a room. What holds your eye once you're closer is the embroidery, worked in the same pink as the cloth so that the detail, not the colour, is the loud part.

• THE EMBROIDERY
  Hand chikankari worked tone-on-tone — pink thread on a pink ground — running the full length of the kurta in florals, paisley and a fine trellis fill, dense enough that the fabric reads as texture rather than plain colour. Because it's worked by hand in a single shade, the motifs vary slightly across the piece and it rewards a second look.
• THE SET — THREE PIECES
  A complete set of three: a long straight kurta with a band collar and short front placket; matching wide-leg palazzo with lighter embroidery and a scalloped hem at the ankle; and a soft, semi-sheer pink dupatta to finish. All three included.
• FABRIC & FEEL
  Soft cotton, worn over a slip, with lightly sheer sleeves and a light semi-sheer dupatta — breathable, easy to move in and easy in warm weather.
• BEST WORN FOR
  Daytime festive occasions, mehndis and haldis, poojas, and any celebration where you want soft colour and real detail rather than heavy shine.
• STYLING
  Shown here with oxidised silver hoops and juttis. Soft pink takes silver cleanly and reads fresh against it; a deeper pink or a contrast dupatta would shift it dressier if you ever wanted to restyle.
• CARE
  Fine and embroidered, so handle gently. Dry clean recommended; if washing at home, hand wash alone in cold water without wringing, and dry in shade — pink holds its softness best out of direct sun. A cool iron on the reverse so the embroidery keeps its relief. Store folded in a breathable cloth bag.
• WHY WE CHOSE THIS PRODUCT
  We wanted a pink that wasn't loud. Tone-on-tone chikankari does that — it lets a soft colour carry a lot of detail without ever raising its voice, which is a harder, quieter kind of pretty than a bright print.
