Tamra — Coppery Tissue Saree with a Sheer Pallu | Awadhalaya
Rs. 2,349.00
A saree you have to see move to understand.
Tamra takes its name from the word for copper — and that's exactly what it does in the light: glows warm, shifts to rose, and turns gold where the sun hits it.
It is tissue, and it behaves like tissue — crisp, luminous, and sheer enough that the pallu lights up when the sun comes through it. A single fine pink edge traces the whole drape.
-
FABRIC & FEEL
A crisp, high-shine tissue with a coppery, gold-toned sheen. It holds clean, sculptural folds and catches light from every angle — a fabric that reads rich without a single woven pattern. -
COLOUR & SHINE
A shot copper that never sits still — copper, rose and warm gold move across it as you do. The deep-pink edge grounds all that warmth and defines the drape. -
PALLU
Sheer and luminous. Held up to daylight, it glows and turns almost translucent — the quiet drama of the whole saree lives here. -
BEST WORN FOR
Weddings, receptions, festive evenings, the celebrations you dress up for. Tamra is made to be the standout saree in the wardrobe — the one you reach for when the occasion deserves it. -
STYLING
Made for gold — a kundan or polki necklace, statement earrings, a slim gold bangle, and little else. The styling blouse shown is a matching tissue piece. (Blouse inclusion to be confirmed; shown for styling.) -
CARE
Dry clean recommended. Tissue is a delicate fabric — store it folded in a soft cloth, away from hooks and rough surfaces, and it will keep its shine for years. -
WHY WE CHOSE THIS PRODUCT
We don't do many high-shine sarees — most tissue reads either cheap or stiff. Tamra changed our mind. The shot copper-rose-gold has real depth, the sheer pallu catches daylight beautifully, and that one pink edge keeps the whole thing considered rather than loud — a rare metallic saree we'd actually want to wear. -
