A soft lime-green cotton, scattered with pink lotuses.
Nalini means the lotus — and the pond it grows in. This saree is scattered with them, small pink lotus buds on a soft lime-green cotton, traced all round by a red scalloped border that curves like the petals themselves.

Description
Green usually plays it safe. This one doesn't. The ground is a soft lime-green mul cotton, matte and fine, with the gentle fall of good mulmul. Scattered across it are little pink lotus buds — pink deepening to magenta at the petals, on fine green stems.
Then a red scalloped border traces the whole edge, curving like lotus petals around the pallu and along the hem, and soft green tassels finish it at the end. Against the fresh green, that red line is the part that makes people look twice.
It's an everyday cotton: soft enough to drape close and easy through the day, and simple to pair with silver and a bright blouse.
