Story
Kalindi is an old name for the Yamuna — the deep, still blue of river water. We gave it to this saree for exactly that: a rich, deep blue, in a cotton soft as muslin.

Some cottons are made to be noticed. This one is made to be lived in.
Kalindi is a soft mul cotton — the lightest, most fluid kind, matte and fine, the sort of cloth that drapes like water and feels like almost nothing through a long day. It's a deep cerulean blue, scattered all over with small white flowers, finished with a thin white-and-silver border and a fine stripe band at the pallu.
The blue does the work: rich enough to feel considered, easy enough for an ordinary day. It carries from a working morning to an evening out on nothing more than a change of jewellery.
