Story
Tulips, brushed across a peach morning.
Alpana is the old Bengal art of painting flowers and vines by hand at a doorway, to welcome. We borrowed the name for the tulips brushed across this saree — rouge and pink, each one outlined in gold — and for the soft, painterly way they sit on the peach.

Description
Some sarees are quiet and some are loud. This one is soft-spoken with a smile — a blush peach, pale as early light, with tulips in rouge and pink scattered across it, each bloom outlined in a fine line of gold on a green-and-gold stem.
It's a mul cotton — fine, soft and fluid, with a gentle matte drape that moves easily through a long day. There's no border; the tulips run right to the edge, and the pallu ends in bright orange tassels — a small, deliberate jolt of colour against all that pastel.
It's the everyday cotton that doesn't feel plain: soft enough for a working morning, pretty enough for an evening, on nothing more than a change of jewellery.
Blouse not included — shown here with a plain white blouse and oxidised silver, a clean pairing that lets the peach stay soft.
