From across a room, Shyama reads as a quiet, certain black. Come closer and it gives itself away — indigo, madder red and cream worked into paisley after paisley, an intricate ajrakh-inspired pattern.

  Shyama is modal — soft, lightweight and breathable, with an easy, fluid drape that moves with you through a long day or a long evening. Not stiff, not heavy.

  The black body carries small paisley buti motifs in neat vertical columns, finely detailed in brick-red, indigo and cream. A narrow ajrakh geometric band runs along both edges. The pattern is ajrakh-inspired.

  The pallu is where the saree opens up — broad horizontal bands of star medallions and jaali lattice, deepening into a row of indigo kalash motifs near the end, finished with maroon thread tassels. Richer and bluer than the body, on purpose.
