Some golds are loud. Rukmini is deep — an antique gold with bronze in its blood, and she never looks the same twice.

• FABRIC & FEEL
  A crisp metallic tissue with a liquid sheen and a fine natural crush. This is the fabric’s whole character: in direct light it burns bright gold; in shade it settles into a deep bronze-olive. The drape holds structured, sculptural folds that catch and release the light as you move.
• BORDER & DETAIL
  A slim, clean BLACK border runs the entire edge of the saree and down both sides of the pallu — a firm dark line that frames the gold and gives the drape its finish. Through the body, a faint woven self-pattern surfaces wherever light passes through.
• PALLU
  Long, luminous, and the best place to watch the gold-to-bronze shift happen — edged in black on both sides.
• BEST WORN FOR

  Most gold sarees pick one gold and stay there. Tissue doesn’t — it negotiates with the light, minute to minute. Add a black border, and every fold gets drawn in ink. Rukmini is deeper and darker than our mustard gold — where Kanchan is gold for the daytime, Rukmini is gold for the evening: she photographs differently at 6pm than at 8pm, and that is precisely the point.
