Cool powder blue, finished in scalloped lace.

Powder blue is the easiest colour to wear on a warm day and the hardest to make feel special. Nilofar does it with two things: the embroidery, and the lace.

The blue is pale and cool — a fresh, unhurried shade that stays comfortable through a long summer occasion. Over it runs blue chikankari, and along every edge, a scalloped lace that lifts the whole set from simple to finished.

  • THE EMBROIDERY
Blue chikankari over the pale blue — florals, paisley and a fine trellis fill running the length of the kurta, with lighter work down the palazzo. The Blue-on-blue keeps it delicate and fresh rather than heavy, and the pattern reads as fine tracery up close.
  • THE LACE — THE SIGNATURE
What sets this one apart is the scalloped lace edge: it traces the palazzo hem and runs the full length of the dupatta. It's a small thing that does a lot — the reason the set looks considered rather than plain, and the detail most people will notice first.
  • THE SET — THREE PIECES
A long straight kurta with a band collar and short front placket; matching wide-leg palazzo; and a soft, semi-sheer powder-blue dupatta. All three lace-edged and worked to match.
  • FABRIC & FEEL
A fine, soft cotton ground worn over a slip, with lightly sheer sleeves and a light semi-sheer dupatta — easy to move in and easy in warm weather.
  • BEST WORN FOR
Daytime festive occasions, mehndis and haldis, poojas, and any celebration where you want soft colour and real detail rather than heavy shine.
  • STYLING
Shown here with oxidised silver hoops and flats. Soft powder blue takes silver cleanly and reads fresh against it; a contrast dupatta would shift it dressier if you ever wanted to restyle.
  • WHY WE CHOSE THIS PRODUCT
We wanted an easy summer colour that could still hold its own at an occasion. Powder blue with blue chikankari does exactly that — cool and light to wear, but with enough fine detail and lace to look properly dressed rather than casual.
