White as the shefali flower that falls before dawn.

The shefali flower — night jasmine — falls before the sun rises. It does not wait to be seen. By the time the morning finds it, it has already done what it came to do.

Shefali is that kind of saree.

Pure white ground. A coral stripe running the full length — thin, warm, unhurried. A solid pink border at both edges. White tassel fringe at the pallu hem. A colour story that is complete without adding anything to it.

The fabric is Dhonekali tant — a GI-registered handloom tradition from Hooghly district, West Bengal. Handwoven on traditional looms that have lived in Bengal for generations. The weave is light and open — designed for Indian summers and long days that ask everything of you. It drapes without effort and gets better with every wash.

Made for women who wear sarees because they love them — not because the calendar asks them to.

  • ✦ WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
    • Lightweight and breathable — handwoven open tant weave
    • Easy everyday drape — moves with you all day
    • GI-registered Bengal handloom — genuine craft provenance
    • Pure white with coral stripe and pink border — a complete colour story
    • Suitable for office, travel, pujas and cultural occasions
  • 🌿 FABRIC & FEEL
Dhonekali tant is one of West Bengal's most beloved handloom traditions — woven in Hooghly district on traditional pit looms. The open weave is airy and light. The slight natural irregularity of the handloom threads gives it a texture that no machine-made fabric can replicate.
  • ✦ STYLING TIP
Oxidised silver jhumkas — as shown. Keep jewellery light. Hair pulled back simply. A small bindi in coral or red. The saree's colour story does the rest.
  • 🧺 CARE
Gentle hand wash in cold water. Squeeze gently, dry flat in shade. Light iron. The fabric improves with every wash.

Only a limited number have been woven in this batch. Restock is not guaranteed.
