The red the day begins with.

Aruna speaks in an old printed language — paisley and fine geometry, the vocabulary of ajrakh, carried in deep madder red, black and cream.

A fine jaal runs across the body, larger boteh unfurl along the pallu, and a gold-toned band closes the drape. Ornate without being loud — a print with roots, worn lightly.

  • FABRIC & FEEL
Soft modal with a gentle, silk-like sheen. It falls in a fluid, unhurried drape and sits close without weighing you down — an easy saree to wear through a long day.
  • PRINT & BORDER
A deep madder-red ground worked in an ajrakh-inspired vocabulary — fine geometric jaal across the body, traditional boteh and floral-medallion bands framing the pallu. The print is digital, designed in the heritage idiom rather than block-printed.
  • PALLU
The pallu carries the boldest of the paisley work and resolves into a gold-toned woven band at the end — the one quiet flourish in an otherwise grounded drape.
  • BEST WORN FOR
Festive afternoons, family gatherings, a wedding you’re a guest at — and, just as easily, an ordinary day you’d like to mark.
  • STYLING
Wears beautifully with oxidised silver — jhumkas, stacked bangles, a single ring. The styling blouse shown is a maroon bandhani-print piece. (Blouse inclusion to be confirmed; shown for styling.)
  • CARE
Professional dry clean recommended for longevity. If hand-washing, use cold water and a mild detergent, and dry in shade.
  • WHY WE CHOSE THIS PRODUCT
We kept coming back to the red. Most deep reds in a saree this ornate get filed under “occasion” and worn twice a year. Aruna’s print is rich, but the modal makes it livable — a saree that earns a place in the everyday wardrobe, not just the trunk you open for festivals. That tension — ceremonial colour, easy cloth — is exactly what we look for.
