Our Story

The house of Awadh

A saree should arrive with a name.

Awadhalaya began with a simple conviction — that a saree isn't a unit of stock but a thing with character: a weave, a colour, a way of falling, worth choosing deliberately and worth naming. [SLOT]

Cloth, first.

Every piece is thoughtfully sourced from across India — cotton, linen, modal, tissue, chiffon — and we describe each one for exactly what it is. If we can't stand behind a fibre, we don't dress it up. You won't find "silk" on a page where it doesn't belong. That honesty is the brand, not a footnote to it.

Made for you, not for a warehouse.

We don't hold deep stock. Most pieces are made to order and dispatched in 15–25 days — a little slower, on purpose, so nothing is wasted and everything that ships was meant for someone.

The founder actually replies.

No form, no ticket, no bot. Message us about a colour, a drape, a delivery date, or ask for real photos before you buy — and a person who runs this house answers.

Rooted in tradition, made for today.
